Massiel has 3 siblings. Her favorite color is purple and she likes to eat chicken, rice, and tostones, which are fried green bananas. During her free time, she enjoys listening to music and doing her homework. Her favorite class is Spanish literature. Everyday she helps her grandmother around the house with all that is needed to be done. She dreams of becoming a doctor so that she can help the people within her community.  If given the opportunity to help improve her community, she would like to organize a work day to clean up the trash. When asked what would make her happy she replied, "Having my parents together, so they could live together as a family."
